Japan MotoGP ~ 2018

The Motegi circuit was built in 1999 by Honda and is considered as one the architectural jewels of motorsports. The circuit splits up into two very different tracks: a classic road course on which MotoGP race have taken place since 2000, and an oval Super Speedway to host an Indy Car series. The road course, on which MotoGP races take place, is an anti-clockwise circuit which contains a multitude of straights and sharp turns, making it a tricky but thrilling venue for the riders. Before hosting Japan's MotoGP, Motegi was used to host the Pacific Motorcycle Grand Prix from 2000 to 2003. Its capacity of over 68 000 seats demonstrates Japan's growing interest in motorsports.
